Oxfam

Oxfam is a global confederation of 21 independent organisations working in more than 80 countries to tackle poverty, inequality and injustice. It works with local partners, communities, governments and the private sector to strengthen livelihoods, respond to humanitarian crises, advance gender equality and promote more equitable economic systems. Within financial inclusion, Oxfam has supported initiatives on savings groups, inclusive markets, women’s economic empowerment, agricultural value chains and access to appropriate financial services, while advocating for policies that address the structural drivers of poverty and inequality. Through research, campaigning and programme implementation, Oxfam seeks to ensure that economic development benefits people living in poverty and those most vulnerable to exclusion.
