Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI)
The Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) is a member-owned global network of central banks, financial regulators and policymakers from developing and emerging economies dedicated to advancing financial inclusion through evidence-based policy and peer learning. Founded in 2008, AFI brings together more than 90 member institutions from over 80 countries to share knowledge, develop practical policy guidance and support the implementation of inclusive financial sector reforms. Its work spans digital financial services, consumer protection, financial literacy, inclusive green finance, gender-inclusive finance, SME finance and financial inclusion data. Through initiatives such as the Maya Declaration and its regional working groups, AFI has played a significant role in accelerating policy innovation and strengthening regulatory frameworks that expand access to quality financial services for underserved populations worldwide.
