Catalyzing Change in Equity Investing: Disruptive Models for Financing Women’s Entrepreneurship (Diana International Impact Report).

Investing in women entrepreneurs is an opportunity for entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders to benefit from innovation and economic development. This report, by the Diana International Research Institute at Babson College, and authored by C. G. Brush and P.G. Greene, argues that current models need to be displaced with disruptive new models that overturn misleading stereotypes and accurately reflect the opportunities for women entrepreneurs to contribute to the vibrancy of ecosystems. The report advocates for a new funding direction informed by disruptive funding models and best practices for women entrepreneurs across each of the six primary processes that drive entrepreneurial development: identifying, training, connecting and sustaining, funding, enabling public policy, and celebrating.
