This case study by 2x Global focuses on an Asili, an integrated food security platform in Uganda, which helps farmers sustainably increase their agricultural outputs and incomes, to advance gender equity. Asili is part of the ‘DeveloPPP’ program funded by Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG) Impact and implemented by Value for Women (VFW) and the Alphamundi Foundation (AMF). VFW and AMF executed a gender diagnostic to ascertain areas for improvement and then developed a customised gender-smart technical assistance project to enable Asili to incorporate gender inclusion in its internal and external operations.
